Does compression reduce image quality?

It depends on the target size. At 300 KB or above, the difference is rarely visible. Below 50 KB, noticeable quality loss may occur and the resolution may be reduced.

How many images can I compress at once?

Up to 20 images on desktop and 5 on mobile. When processing multiple files, you can download them all as a single ZIP.

Are my files sent to a server?

No. Everything is processed in your browser. Files are never uploaded to a server and are released from memory when you close the tab.

What if the result is larger than my target?

For very small targets (e.g., 10 KB), it may not be possible to reach the goal even at minimum quality. In that case, the tool delivers the smallest result it can and shows a notice.

Is transparency preserved for PNG files?

Yes, PNG transparency is preserved. However, if you compress to JPG, transparent areas become white. Keep PNG or WebP format to retain transparency.
